Episode 29 is a filler episode where Yukino pretended as if she has been victimised by Southern Pantasia's employees. By doing this, she earns the sympathy of three St.Pierre breadmakers who promised her that they will help her to create a bread as good as the Nanshoukasei bread that Azuma has created. Soon enough, the new St.Pierre bread begins to drive the customers away from Southern Pantasia's store. In order to attract the consumers that they've lost, Azuma decides to create JaPan 56, the same Japan he was about to make back in episode 2 but failed thanks to Kawachi's machination. The result is a bamboo-charcoal bread that is good enough to make people think that they are characters in Gundam-wannabe series. In the end, the three St.Pierre's breadmakers realises the error of their way and Black JaPan becomes another popular bread at Southern Pantasia store.

Episode 28 begins with Kanmuri informing Southern Pantasia store's employees that Yukino is conspiring with St.Pierre's owner to take over Pantasia. The only hope they have of fending them is actually Southern Pantasia store itself since it is owned independently by Tsukino and free from the influence of other Pantasia's shops. Meanwhile, Kawachi begins his new job at the main Pantasia shop but quickly realises that he misses all of his friends back at Southern Pantasia store. At the same time, Azuma finds a way to use Nanshoukasei wheat flour to create a low fat JaPan so the store can attract high school girls as potential buyers. Kanmuri, however, believes that this on its own won't be enough to save Pantasia. This is why he intends to bet on the upcoming Monaco Cup championship and win 10 billion Yen. However, in order to do this perfectly, he needs Kawachi to become the team's clown.

Episode 27 begins with the award ceremony for the winner of the tournament. Kawachi is also allowed by Kuroyan to finally transfer to the main Pantasia store. Much to everyone's surprise, however, Kanmuri wishes to transfer to the Southern Pantasia store. Nevertheless, both Kuroyan and Ken grant his wish. After the competition is over, Meister Kirisaki tries to prove to Tsukino's grandfather that Yukino was the one responsible for ruining Kawachi's dough. Unfortunately, Yukino manages to deflect the suspicion without too much trouble. Meanwhile, Ken informs his workers that Meister Kirisaki is actually the son of Kirisaki Ryuuichi, the owner of St.Pierre. Kirisaki Sr. was married to a French woman but then left his family to create original bread in Japan. This obviously reminds Azuma of the bakery owner that he met when he was a kid.

episode 26 starts off with Kawachi putting a bucket of water inside the stove in order to produce additional steam, which in turn causes his bread to produce sounds while being baked. Not wanting to be outdone, Suwabara produces a French bread that forms the shape of a snake. Meanwhile, Azuma has decided that he will not be working for the main Pantasia store. Having said that, he feels sad knowing that Kawachi will probably move there if he wins this round. Back to the competition, Kawachi's bread is finally completed and upon tasting it, Kuroyan begins having flashback of his best friend back in the US, Brad Kidd. For a reason that I will leave to your own imagination, Kawachi's double-crust bread reminds Kuroyan of Kidd. In the end, Kuroyan decides that Suwabara and Kawachi tie in this competition.

YAKITATE 25 PART 3/3

Episode 25 itself begins with Yukino destroying Kanmuri's laboratory as a revenge for losing against Azuma. Meanwhile, Kawachi retells the story on how he acquired his new Afro hairstyle. It seems that the St.Andrew's Sister challenged him into a baking competition to prove that Kawachi is an amateur. Well, not only Kawachi lost to the Sister in the French bread making competition, she also criticised him for being the kind of person who is easily surprised by another person. After a few convincing 'persuasions' and 'trainings' by the Sister, Kawachi finally agrees to get an Afro hairstyle to change his attitude. When the time comes for a battle with Suwabara, however, Kawachi is still as jittery as ever. Nevertheless, the stage is set for Suwabara's Dancing French Bread and Kawachi's Singing French Bread.

YAKITATE 23-24 PART 5/5

Episode 23 begins with Kawachi being forced by the Sister from St.Andrew's Church to confess his sins. In doing so, he tells her all of the tricky machination he's done to Azuma. Upon hearing this, the Sister is not happy about it and on top of it, she has bad news for him, the person Kawachi is looking for, Father Graham, has passed away. Meanwhile, Azuma manages to remain on the positive side despite losing his Petalite board. He feels that it's better this way because he remembers that sooner or later people will get bored if he keeps making the same bread over and over again. Because of this, he decides that instead of making Japan 44, he'll be making a new Japan, Japan 60! Meanwhile, Kanmuri is seen inside his laboratory researching a new yeast that he calls Kaiyoukoubo RAS.

Anyway, on the day of the competition, Kanmuri is surprised when hears that Azuma has lost his Petalite board and quickly realises that as usual this is the work of Yukino. Strangely Kanmuri doesn't have any fear in telling the Southern Pantasia employees that the one who stole it was probably Yukino. Much to Kanmuri's surprise, however, Yukino has a plan of her own to ensure that Kanmuri doesn't betray her. She has planted bomb inside his lab. If he loses, she'll make a phone call to the demolition team to set off the bomb. And with that warning in Kanmuri's mind, the competition begins. Kanmuri, however, is taken aback when he sees Azuma washing his dough in a water. The biggest surprise of them all, however, comes from Kawachi who has now arrived decked out in full afro glory just like Matsu Ken.

Continuing from the previous episode, episode 24 begins with the spectators feeling angry because they think Azuma is not taking the competition seriously. I have to say that these people annoy me a lot. I seriously wish I was there so I can punch the living daylights out of these people. I hate it when people who don't know what they're doing criticise a person who clearly knows better. Anyway, Kawachi then appears next to Tsukino trying to surprise her but she doesn't recognise him at first. And when she does, she thinks that's one hell of an ugly hairdo. Tenchou, however, begs to differ and there's one hilarious scene here where he looks as if he's proud of his student. Hee. Anyway, Kanmuri then quickly displays the power of his Kaiyoukoubo by showing the crowd how stretchy his dough can be.

Kanmuri's confidence, however, quickly disappears when he sees Azuma manages to create a stretchier dough somehow. Before Kanmuri can figure out the secret to Azuma's dough, however, the time has come to judge the bread. So GM Kirisaki begin to taste Kanmuri's rock look-alike bread, Pain Rustique, while Kuroyan drools and wishes that he'll become a GM one day. Upon tasting the bread, Kirisaki's head sprouts Peacock's feathers out of nowhere, indicating that he's very pleased with the bread. Tenchou then goes on to explain the various birds that GM Kirisaki will show depending on the taste of the bread. Meanwhile, Kanmuri explains that one of the secret ingredients of his bread is a special French flour called, Soisson. According to Kanmuri, the ground-mill flour not only gives crispy crust while allowing the inside to be chewy.

After seeing Kanmuri's success, Kawachi is afraid that Azuma will not have a chance. He, however, has nothing to worry about. Kirisaki is more impressed with the stretchy texture of Azuma's bread to the point that his face mask cracks and a Peacock comes out of it and begins to fly itself and Kirisaki around the room. Not long after this, Kirisaki announces the winner of the newcomer competition which turns out to be Azuma, much to Kanmuri and Yukino's shock. Kuroyan explains that the method that Azuma used is called Vital Gluten. A method that allows a bread to be very crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It may not be considered the correct method to use by professional bakers but Kuroyan believes that those who dare to venture out of the usual method to get the best result are the best bakers of them all.
episode 21 begins with Azuma regaining his confidence after Kawachi's pep-talk. He immediately declares that he's going all out in the match with Japan 44. Suwabara is a bit deterred upon seeing Azuma's sudden confidence but tries to convince himself that he can win with his 648 layers Croissant. He even tries to show Azuma that he can bake his croissant better so there won't be any burned outer layers like Azuma's Croissant. Azuma, however, can't care less and he immediately asks Kuroyan to judge his bread as soon as he completed it. Meanwhile, Yukino is unhappy when she sees Azuma's confidence. She wonders why his mood change from depressed to cool and composed. Kanmuri doesn't seem to understand either but he suspects that Azuma's confidence has a lot to do with the board he's using inside the oven.

Before Kanmuri can think even more, however, he suddenly hears Deebu's maid screaming to everyone that Deebu is dead. The same thing has also happened to Kuroyan, whose soul can now be seen departing his body and ascending into what looks like heaven. After exploring the place for a while, however, both Kuroyan and Deebu encounters what looks like a nightclub complete with its own bunny hostess. One of the hostess called Satsuki reminds Kuroyan of Cathy so he willingly agree to come inside for a while. Once he's inside, Kuroyan begins to turn on his charm on Satsuki, telling her how she reminds him of his ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile inside Pantasia, everyone still reels in from the shock of seeing Kuroyan and Deebu's dead bodies. Suwabara is unhappy about this and thinks that Azuma poisoned the breads.

Because of this Kirisaki has no choice but to ask Azuma to explain the situation or else he'll have to call the cops. Azuma tells him that the truth is, neither Kuroyan nor Deebu is dead. They have, however, gone to heaven for a while. Meanwhile Kuroyan is upset because Satsuki tells him that as much as she likes him, their relationship wouldn't work. Satsuki informs Kuroyan that the truth is he's still alive and tells him that Azuma's grandfather once had similar incident after eating Japan 44. True enough, it doesn't take long before Kuroyan's soul begins to de-materialise from the place. Kuroyan then wakes up in his own body only to find that he's been kissing Kirisaki's face mask. He, however, quickly recovers from his horror and announce Azuma as the winner of this semi-final.

Suwabara is pissed off with this decision and asks Kuroyan to try his Croissant first before making further judgment. Kuroyan, however, quickly dismissed Suwabara's protest by asking him if his Croissant can send him to heaven because if that is not the case then Suwabara will lose. Poor Suwabara is not even allowed to taste Azuma's bread because Kuroyan wants all of them. Unfortunately for Kuroyan, it seems Deebu has run away with Azuma's breads. Azuma, however, tells him that he can just make another one if Kuroyan really likes them but he thinks Kuroyan won't go to heaven again. Azuma is then greeted by his friends who congratulate his success. Their happiness, however, is cut short when Yukino appears to tell them that she is going to enjoy the final match.

Episode 22 begins with Kirisaki approaching Azuma to congratulate his victory in the semi-final as well as to apologise for doubting the kid. Kirisaki then informs Kawachi that the investigators have found out that his dough was indeed tampered by someone. Unfortunately, they can't prove that Yukino was the one who sabotage the dough. Kirisaki, however, tells Kawachi that he still has the chance to compete for the third place. Upon hearing that he'll have the chance to work for the Pantasia main store if he wins this round, Kawachi becomes excited again. Ken, however, suggests that Kawachi visits a Church called St.Andrews to learn more about bread-making. Tsukino seems to know that the place is where Ken got his afro style but before she can say anything else, Ken covers her mouth with his hand.

As Southern Pantasia employees leave the main store, Kawachi warns Azuma that he thinks Kanmuri may have solar hands as well. Azuma, however, does not seem to worry much about it because he has his petalite board. He, unfortunately, also realises that he's left his board inside the store. Meanwhile inside the Pantasia building, Kanmuri tries to persuade Yukino not to resort to dirty trick during the final competition. Yukino is not happy about this and reminds Kanmuri that she's the one who's paying for his research facilities. Kanmuri has no choice but to assure her that he can beat Azuma in the final. Once Kanmuri left, Yukino stumbles onto Azuma's petalite board and realises that she has the chance to sabotage Azuma. So Yukino steals the board, destroys it, then dumps the remain onto children's playground.

YAKITATE 20 PART 1/3

YAKITATE 20 PART 2/3

YAKITATE 20 PART 3/3

This episode is the latest casualty of the inconsistent character design problem that also struck this week's Gakuen Alice. Much to Sunrise's credit, however, the inconsistencies are less noticeable here. I'm also quite surprised to see the story in this episode being funnier than the way I remembered it. I guess it didn't feel that way to me before because the first thing that I remember about this particular plot is Yukino's cruel machination. Having said that, there's no denying that she is quite an effecitve and formidable enemy. To begin with, she has no redeeming quality whatsoever so it's very easy to hate her. There's no need to feel guilty here. :P Her presence also makes Azuma and his friends realise that they have to be careful when dealing with this monster.

Anyway, this episode begins with Kanmuri realising that Yukino has tampered with Kawachi's dough. Yukino herself doesn't make too much of an attempt to hide her happiness upon seeing Kawachi's misery. She continually repeating to herself that she could die from her happiness. On the other hand, Kawachi is confused with the whole situation. As a result, when he sees the hole on the wall where Deebu came from, he immediately assumes that the cold wind creates an unsuitable temperature for his dough. Because of this, he asks Kuroyan if they can rise the temperature in the room a little bit. Meister doesn't object to the request so Kuroyan orders his men to rise the temperature to 36 degrees. When that doesn't work, they increase it up to 39 degrees. Hmm, toasty!!

Meanwhile, Kanmuri has finally completed his bread and asks Kuroyan to taste it now since he can no longer stand the heat. Besides, he notices that Deebu also feels the same. Because of this, Kuroyan tells everyone that he'll now begin to taste Kanmuri's bread while Kawachi can continue his attempt to mold the dough. Upon seeing Kanmuri's bread, Kuroyan realises that the guy has succeeded in making a seaweed bread that uses yeast harvested from the ocean. Kuroyan is impressed by this since he was one of those people who failed to harvest such yeast from the ocean. He's even more impressed when he tastes the bread to the point that he begins to remember his time together with his blonde American girlfriend. Kuroyan becomes so engrossed in his imagination that he almost give Meister a big kiss on the lips.

Deebu is also equally impressed with Kanmuri's bread to the point that he regains his ability to stand up. Because of this, he awarded Kanmuri with a perfect score of 300 phon. Unfortunately, this means that Kawachi is in trouble. Not only he begins to lose his concentration, the spectators begins to throw items at him to show their unhappiness with the temperature. Kazuma tries his best to ask the crowd from throwing items at Kawachi but he ends up getting hit by the crowds as well. As he passed out into Tsukino's arm, Kawachi tells himself that he knows he is not as talented as Azuma but he refuses to lose in spirit. He wants to do things right for his family, himself, and for Tsukino. Kawachi then apologises to Tsukino as he slowly loses his consciousness.

The incident upsets Ken who suspect that Yukino has something to do with it. Upon inspecting the dough, Meister Kirisaki believes that there is a need to open an investigation to find out the cause behind the incident. Meanwhile, Kawachi is seen apologising to Tsukino for being unable to protect her. He then cries on Tsukino's chest and comments how she has such a strong muscle. Well, it turns out that the whole thing is just Kawachi's overactive imagination. The person that he's really hugging turns out to be Ken. LOL. Kawachi's horror quickly turns into sadness as he remembers that he lost the match to Kanmuri. He realises now that he can't fulfill his promise to fight Azuma in the final. Ken tries to make Kawachi feels better by telling the kid that his dough has probably been tampered by someone.

The knowledge, however, does not make Kawachi feel any less miserable. He realises that even if there is a rematch, he won't be able to defeat Kanmuri and his special yeast. Meanwhile Kanmuri himself is seen telling Yukino that if she tries a similar trick again, people will definitely be suspicious. Yukino, however, tells Kanmuri that she's not that stupid to do it twice and besides, she thinks Azuma already self-destruct himself anyway. True enough, Azuma is now seen looking miserable because of what happened to Kawachi. Suwabara then appears and tells Azuma that he refuses to accept that Azuma has lost his fighting spirit due to Kawachi's unfortunate incident. He tells Azuma that he became angry when he lost to Azuma and Kawachi during the recruitment process and actually sweared revenge.

However, his master reminded him that he will only be able to find out his true strength if he calms down. Suwabara tells Azuma that because of this, he is now capable of creating a super vapour croissant with more layers than what Azuma originally made. Azuma, however, can't care less, causing Suwabara to become angrier. He tells Azuma to withdraw if he does not intend to fight with all of his ability. Once Suwabara left, Azuma breaks down to Tsukino and tells her that he thinks he can't handle the emotion anymore. Tsukino tries to assure him that if it hurts too much, he can just stop the fight because she'll protect him. However, Kawachi then appears and reminds Azuma that they're the one who promised to protect Tsukino. He tells Azuma that he wants Azuma to continue to fight for him and Tsukino. Kawachi believes that Azuma can do anything because he's a genius.

YAKITATE 19 PART 1/3

YAKITATE 19 PART 2/3

YAKITATE 19 PART 3/3

This episode itself opens with a narration from Kinoshita who tells his mother, presumably through a letter, that Azuma and the others have temporarily returned to the shop. He, however, wonders why he's still the only one who's doing all the chores. The slackers themselves are seen hanging out in the recreational room doing nothing but talking to each other. Azuma wonders why Kanmuri called Kuroyanagi 'Sempai', leading Ken to explain that just like Kuroyanagi, Kanmuri is also a graduate from Harvard University. Apparently every few years Pantasia likes to hire students who excell in food study such as Kuroyanagi. Kanmuri is a student who got hired by Pantasia this year due to his expertise in this field.

The field of study itself attracts students who are interested in creating a unique yeast that can be used to flavour bread. Ken believes that even he may not have a chance to win if Kanmuri has created this kind of yeast. Meanwhile, Yukino is seen arriving at Kanmuri's laboratory to pick up an Endoprotease solution she ordered from the guy. As Kanmuri gives Yukino the solution, he tells her that as the name suggests, the solution will break down protein. Having said that he doesn't understand why Yukino needs it. Yukino, who's not keen to explain her reason, simply tells Kanmuri to just do his job and stop asking question. Kanmuri is unhappy with Yukino's attitude but he can't do anything until he gets his research funds.

Back at the Southern Pantasia's store, Kawachi and Azuma are depressed because of what Ken had just told them. Azuma tells Kawachi that it's too early to give up but Kawachi seems to have lost his nerve. Unknown to him, Azuma is not the only one who tries to encourage him. Everyone from Kinoshita to Ken want him to continue fighting. In the end, Tsukino is the one who lifts Kawachi's spirit. She gives him Hatsugagenmaikoubo, the yeast that Ken developed when he was young. Even though Ken didn't have many equipment nor money back then, the yeast was regarded highly by Kuroyan. Having said that, Tsukino warns Kawachi that there are better yeasts available these days so Kawachi should not take his opponent lightly.

On the day of the competition, Azuma and Kawachi are surprised to see the press and public observer present inside the competition hall. Ken explains to the two that most of them have come in the hope of seeing The Meister without his mask. Nevertheless, Kawachi and Azuma can't contain their excitement and decide to do their best. All of a sudden, however, their talk is interrupted by the arrival of Yukino who acts all demure and nice to Tsukino. Kawachi, however, quickly recognises Yukino for the scum that she is, and tells her to stop pretending to be friendly to Tsukino. Not wanting to give up her act just yet, Yukino-hag starts to rant about how she has realised the error of her ways and hope that Tsukino will forgive her.

Ken, however, puts an end to her charade and tells Yukino that he has told all Southern Pantasia store's employee about her so there's no point in continuing the charade. Ken then advises Azuma and Kawachi that someone who truly is evil won't show them that he/she really is evil. Meanwhile Kuroyan is in the middle of informing Meister that Deebu-sensei has not arrived yet. However, before Kuroyan can say anything further, Kanmuri approaches them and calls Kuroyan 'Sempai'. Kuroyan is not happy about this and tells Kanmuri that while the competition is in progress, he and Kanmuri are nothing more than a judge and a contestant. Kanmuri suddenly looks sad and say how time surely change people.

He then loudly exclaims how Kuroyan used to love him back when the two were at Harvard, much to Kuroyan's horror. Kuroyan immediately orders Kanmuri not to use words that can be miscontrued by others. He claims that back then he was just happy to see another Japanese guy. Kanmuri simply laughs and tells Kuroyan not to get too excited about it. He then turns serious and tells Kuroyan that the truth is, he simply wants to tell Kuroyan that he manages to complete 'it'. After Kanmuri walks away, Meister tells Kuroyan that Love is as limitless as Space so it doesn't matter what form Kuroyan chooses. As he says this, the building suddenly starts to shake and out of the refurbished wall, Deebu-sensei makes his appearance.

Meister then continues to tell Kuroyan that whatever relationship Kuroyan and Kanmuri has, he should not feel ashamed about it. LOL. Kuroyan, however, doesn't think that it's funny and begins to scream that the semi-final tournament for block B is about to start. As soon as he says this, two MIB comes to the hall to bring the ingredients for the match. The tournament then begins and Kanmuri shows the strength of his new yeast, Kaiyoukoubo, which makes his dough rise quickly. On the other hand, Kawachi's dough can't seem to form even though it's been kneaded thoroughly. Kanmuri soon realises that Yukino has tampered with Kawachi's flour with the Endoprotease to ensure that the dough can't ever form gluten
Monday, September 3, 2007
The episode begins with Tsukino waking up inside her room and whispering that this will be the fourth year, as she looks into a photograph of herself and her parents. Meanwhile, Kawachi and Katsuo are in the middle of preparing for their animal bread match. Kawachi notices that Katsuo is being cheered on by a pretty girl on the side. He, however, tells himself that he also has Azuma, Ken, and oops, no Tsukino here because she's on her way to another destination. After getting over the initial shock, Kawachi becomes depressed because Tsukino is not there to cheer him. The manager, however, tells him that Tsukino is there in the form of his well-toned body since she's the one who trained him. Upon hearing this, Kawachi becomes enthusiastic again while Ken quietly snickers and tells himself that Kawachi is so easy to dupe.

Meanwhile, in the nearby area, Suwabara is being approached by a pretty girl with a pink hair. Well, the girl turns out to be a guy called Kanmuri Shigeru, a participant from the Central Shinjuku branch store. It turns out that just like Suwabara, he's been winning his match by default because his opponent always run away every time he offers them one of his breads. Suwabara doesn't seem to like Kanmuri. However, when Kamuri gives him two of his bread, Suwabara admits to himself that he has never been given a bread that wets his appetite as much as the breads that Kanmuri has now given him. Anyway, not long after this Kawachi and Katsuo present their bread to be judged by Kuroyan. Kawachi shows off a crab-looking bread while Katsuo's bread has the shape of a girl's face. Kuroyan seems to prefer Katsuo's bread more because he likes its shape.

Buta (Piggy - Kuroyan's nickname for Katsuo) tells Kuroyan that the bread is a rendition of his 'Momma', referring to the pretty girl who's waving her hands at him. Of course Kuroyan doesn't believe him and tells Katsuo that she's too young to be his 'Momma'. Katsuo realises that Kuroyan misunderstood him so he informs the grumpy judge that 'Momma' is just the nickname he gives to his wife. This revelation surprises Kuroyan and the others. Ken even make a Tsukino-like mask to pretend as if Tsukino herself is in the room and is equally surprised about the entire thing. The guys, however, get a bigger shock when they find out that Katsuo is actually 31 years old and met his wife while working at one of Pantasia's branch store. The reason he entered this tournament was because his wife likes bread so much.

The episode begins with Kawachi wondering how Azuma's bread can stay green instead of turning brown. So Ken tells Kawachi that if a bread is baked under 150 degrees celcius instead of 200-220 degrees, the dough will retain its original color while being baked. At any rate, it's obvious that the judges are impressed with the two breads. Deebu even goes as far as falling in love with the breads. I say good for him! After all, there have been anime about a guy falling in love with a a scrap of talking metal (ie. Chobits) so surely this isn't any less weird. :D Deebu also has a rather unusual method of giving a mark to the participants. His reactions comes in the form of a loud roar that is then measured by a machine to determine the strength of the roar.

Judging from their reaction, Koala's bread seems to impressed both Deebu and Kuroyan. Kuroyan even dressed up like a Bruce Lee wannabe to show his enthusasim for Koala's dragon bread. Because of this, Kawachi begins to worry that Azuma's bread may not taste as good especially after Ken tells him that normally, a bread cooked using under low heat usually taste horrible because the longer baking process tends to dry all of the moisture inside the bread. Much to his surprise, however, Deebu gives Azuma the same score that he gave to Koala. Furthermore, Kuroyan also shows an equally over-the-top reaction by spinning around like Gamera, that infamous turtle creature from old Japanese monster films.

Kuroyan wonders how does Azuma manages to use the slow baking technique and yet keep the moisture of the bread intact. So Azuma explains how when he was a kid, he was given a leftover Candy Apple (This is an apple that is covered in starch syrup). The apple was kind of old but the starch syrup helps to keep the moisture intact. Because of this, Azuma tried to use the idea for his bread. In the end, the judges declare that both Azuma and Koala are tied in this particular round and can continue to the next stage. Koala, however, feels that this tie is his lost since he is actually someone who used to be a manager at a bakery as opposed to a real newcomer like Azuma. In other words, he really is Mokoyama. Because of this, he withdrew himself from the competition.

Unfortunately, Mizuno isn't happy with this development and decides to fire Koala due to his failure. Because of this Koala/Mokoyama decides to leave after telling Tsukino and Mizuno to stop the internal fight because otherwise they'll be in danger from St.Pierre's owner ambitious plan. Koala then leaves after thanking Mizuno for hiring him because in a way it makes him feel as if he has a daughter. Mizuno seems to regret her decision after hearing this and decides to go after Koala. Meanwhile, Koala is seen walking aimlessly in the city while remembering how Mizuno took him to her bakery while he was down and out. Back to the present, Mizuno manages to catch up with Koala and tells him that he's not allowed to leave anymore, leading the two to have a tearful reunion.
